Every Story Whispers His Name

I went to a baby shower last week for a dear friend. I forgot we were supposed to bring books for the baby (I took the cutest dress - but no book.) and was hating it as the hostesses passed around labels for you to write your name and place them in your book.

All sadness went flying though as I saw a friend walk in with the Jesus Storybook Bible tied in ribbon. That's THE book I would have wanted my friend to have! We were asked to tell why we chose the book and Kelly answered, "I cry every time I read it." Amen, sister!

Well, there is big news! Zondervan is putting out a deluxe edition in October that includes the book on CD. I am really excited about this because our two "special" kiddos will have the truths in these stories memorized in no time if we have a CD! And because of Sally Lloyd-Jones' wonderful way of writing, they will be learning these Bible stories with Jesus as the center! They will grow up knowing that it's not about Daniel but about what God was doing in and through Daniel. They will know that every story whispers His name. What joy!!

If you want to learn more about the upcoming edition, you can check their website. There are free downloads of a couple stories and pages from the book too (in case you haven't gotten a book yet).

Oh, and the best part...David Suchet does the narration (Hercules Poirot). Thanks for the heads up!
