I must say, we probably could have saved the money on the show and just ridden the Metrolink downtown and back. Both children LOVED the train!
I had the privilege of sitting with Bubs and receiving a play-by-play of every moment of the trip. "We're going into a tunnel." "The train is passing a building." "There's lights." It was GREAT!
The kids did a good job sitting still. They did NOT like cotton candy and would have preferred to watch the jumbo tron over the skaters.
Daddy didn't mind "having" to hold Little so she could see.
Mickey came out and my son said, "It's Hot Dog!"
We made it through until just before the last song. We had agreed that the minute it looked like we were losing one of them, we would exit and head home. It was good plan and allowed the day to be a happy memory from start to finish.
C You Real Soon!
Y? Because we like you

Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog. It's a brand new day . . .
Fun, fun, fun!!
Ok, so it took me a bit to figure out the "Hot Dog" connection...and until then, Nick and I were laughing pretty hard about that...but then it made sense to me (in connecting him with the song) and it was slightly less funny! ;)
Anyway, the whole post was entertaining - hearing your kids' perspective on the experience - from train to cotton candy.

Becky, have you read about Karyn Seroussi and her son who HAD been diagnosed with autism? She wrote about his cure in her book, Unravelling the mystery of autism. I've not read it. Just a thought. I'm sure you must be experts on the subject. Love from Helen.
