Mom's Visit - Entry Two

Little's birthday is at the end of the month. Memom brought up leaving money for me to go shopping for her gift and I suggested Memom just take Little out for a special shopping trip that afternoon. I gave a couple ideas (Zhu-Zhu Pets, etc.) and when Little was done with "room time", the two set off for the land of Toys!

A little back-story: Last week we were in Walmart and Little asked to see the computers just like she always does. We went to the toy section and she ooohed and aaaaahed over the vtech computers. There was a green one, pink one, and blue one and she was set on taking one home. I told her she could put it on her birthday list (thanks, Brooke) and that seemed to satisfy. . . for the moment. Literally a moment.

For a week before Memom took Little shopping we had been hearing, "Daddy, I'm going to get a computer for my birthday. It's going to be a greeeeeen computer." and "I'll put the computer on my birthday list and then I'll get the greeeeeeen one when I'm six." Memom had not been subjected to this enthusiasm and Memom got played.

I received a phone call from the ToysRUs parking lot - my six year old was on the phone. She said, "Mom. Do you know what I got?"
I replied, "No, Little. What did Memom get you for your birthday?"
"A new computer" giggle. giggle giggle.
Seriously. She was so excited she was giddy. It was adorable.

She got home and could barely keep her hands off the box while I was trying to unwrap everything and she kept giggling the entire time. She is one happy six year old! Thanks, Memom!

She asked me today if I would still wrap it up for her birthday! Sure thing!

Oh, and the Zhu-Zhu pet, "Winkie", was quickly swept up by my two year old lover of anything soft and furry. She has been chasing that little guy all around the kitchen. He kinda creeps me out, but KB is smitten.

Little truly is one happy looking camper even if the computer isn't greeeeeeeeeen! It's hard to believe she's turning 6.

I cannot believe that she is turning 6! Her computer looks like it is awesome- can't wait to hear how she uses it. I want to see you! We are coming up for 5 days in March. I so hope that you will be in town when we are there!

I bet Little wants to be just like her daddy.
