We went to get them while Aunt Anna was still here so she could see them before leaving. I think that subconsciously I wanted her to be there so she could reassure me that my baby is still adorable. Aunt Anna lived up to the expectation! (Isn't this a gorgeous photo of my sister??)
A sweet friend emailed me weeks ago and asked how I was doing about KB having glasses and I never wrote her back (sorry, Penny). I have thought about her question but didn't realize until today just how I feel about it.
At first it was no issue because all three of my children have glasses - it's normal. But when Terry put them on her today my heart was sad. Sad that she'll have to wear glasses for so many years. Sad that her pretty face is "hidden" behind lenses. Sad that she may be picked on or feel unattractive as she grows up. Then her face lit up and she could obviously see more clearly. My emotions changed again. I am thrilled for her and that she can see clearly now (the rain is gone.) She can see all obstacles in her way.. . okay, enough of that. But seriously, while it doesn't take the sadness away, it tempers it because more than beauty and complements, I would want my little one to experience life to the fullest. Seeing is such a bigger part of that. SO, I am doing fine, thanks for asking, Pen.
Maybe I'll change the name of the blog again. What was "Just 4 Kicks" and became "The Blue Hutch" could now be called "Just Four-eyes". Tee He.

I think she looks great and very cute. I have worn glasses and now contacts since a young age. I often think about not ever having to wear glasses/contacts again when I have a glorified body.
Thanks for sharing!
That face! That face! That beautiful face!

It's so great to hear you say that. That's exactly what I started realizing when I was told Luke may need glasses. It's better for our kids to have what they need rather than our shallow desires. ...and I'm so glad she's adjusting well.
I've been waiting for a picture of her with her glasses on. I think she's adorable!!! She has the sweetest little grin and sparkle in her eye and glasses don't detract from it at all!!
