I never posted a photo of the finished butterflies and wanted to do so. . .
So, how are your preparations for Easter coming? We are having even more fun than I expected. Aunt Anna helped keep it going while we were in KC and I am so grateful.
Wednesday we ate every meal with candles lit. We talked about Jesus being the light of the world and the kids got very good at saying it on cue.
Thursday, the day Anna arrived, was purple day. The kids wore purple shirts and we talked about that being the color of royalty and that Jesus is our "forever King" (name used over and over in the Big Picture Bible we have).
Little had been looking through a Bible story book and seen a picture of Jesus on the way to the cross. He had a purple robe wrapped around Him and she said, "Jesus is going to the cross. He's wearing purple. He's our forever King." I talked with her about how the people didn't believe that about him and were making jokes at Him but we know the truth. It was fun to listen to her talk about it throughout the day. I wonder if she told her teacher??
While we were gone the kids made sheep:
"We all like sheep have gone astray. Each has turned to his own way. And the Lord has laid on HIM the iniquity of us all."
Anna also taught them that "alleluia" means "praise the Lord" and they watched Miss Pattycake's Eggstravaganza for the first time this season.
Yesterday we did nothing. . . but there is no condemnation. Isn't that what Easter is all about??

Alleluia!
