Birthday Banner

I have these birthday blocks that I pull out every birthday to help make the day a bit more special. When the birthday person wakes up the blocks are just there. Magic. Well, ever since my mom helped me organize last October, I can't find the birthday blocks. Drat. They are somewhere and we'll find them before August!

So, I keep seeing precious banners on crafty blogs and thinking, "I could make something like that." I thought Little's birthday would be a great opportunity. I downloaded some free digital scrapbook designs that just happened to match my kitchen perfectly and created this little baby.

Sure wish I could remember the gal's blog that inspired this baby, but I am just now getting acquainted with Delicious, hadn't marked the post, and therefore I cannot give any linky love. But isn't it cute??

I am sure you are asking, "Where does one find free downloadable scrapbook paper and embellishments?" Let me introduce you to DigiFree - The Digital Scrapbooking Freebie Search Engine. They describe themselves this way, "The program works by going through a list of thousands of blogs that it has found and it scans those blogs to identify (1) if they have been updated since the system last looked and (2) if they contain any digital scrapbooking freebies. If both of these are true, then the system lists it here." FUN FUN!!

Now, for those asking WHEN I found the time, let's just say the folks at Wal*Mart think I am a freak because I am ALWAYS doing something in the lounge while I am on break or lunch. So, I took my corner rounder and punched the pages, I cut during Lost one week, etc.

Little loved it and Bubba sings happy birthday to me every time he comes in the kitchen.
