DPP - Dec. 5

The surgery went well. Bubs did a great job. He was a doll before the procedure; played with his Leap Pad, read three books, and then we realized they had Playhouse Disney for us to watch! He drank a little drug cocktail at 8:30 and then they came to get him at 8:45. He kissed me goodbye and rode away in a Radio Flyer wagon.

I then slept for over an hour on the hospital bed.

Surgery was over by 10:30 - they didn't even start until just before 10:00AM. He didn't really wake up until 1:30PM. He drank some juice, ate graham crackers, went potty, puked all over mommy, went back to bed.

We left the hospital around 3:00PM - me sporting my new St. John's scrubs and Bubba wearing cute blue sunglasses to protect him from the bright sun.

He went to bed at 6:30 without a fuss.

Thank you for your prayers. God was gracious.

Thankful to hear that the surgery went well, Becky - poor little guy! It's hard enough for us adults, and we understand what is going on!

How is he doing now?

So glad to hear the surgery went well. We were praying for you guys yesterday. Sorry you got puked on, Becky! But pretty awesome that you now own a pair of scrubs...freebie!

So glad that the surgery went well. Elizabeth threw up after her surgery, too. Sorry it was on you, though :(. Oh, the joys of motherhood! Was the surgery successful for what they wanted to correct?
