KB made her appearance Wednesday morning at 9:50. She was 8 lbs 15 oz and 20 1/4 in long.
Everything went extremely well. Dr. J told us that it might take a while longer since KB was our third C-section (scar tissue and all that), but it seemed like it was the fastest of the three. We were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Whew!!!
B is doing well, up moving around and eating solids again. Her first meal was a grilled cheese on mult-grain bread. Not what I would've picked with a steak and pork loin on the menu, but then again I'm not the one who just had surgery so she can eat what she wants! When I visit I just enjoy the well-stocked fridge of soda, turkey sandwiches, and ice cream. But all that's beside the point....
KB has a touch of jaundice so the doctor has her on a Billi-bed. Last night her numbers stopped going up, and we're hoping for a decrease today.
The plan is for both of them to come home this weekend.
