5 Meals in 50 Minutes

I know it seems like I am constantly trying new little tips and programs and such - I guess it's because I am.  Yes, I am constantly trying to find something to make one step an easier step.  I did Emealz for six months and really like it.   But a few weeks ago I read about another little deal and thought I would check it out.

I can't remember who linked to it so I can't give credit to them, but during one of my surfing sessions I stumbled upon Make 5 Dinners in ONE Hour.  The name is overly obvious so I won't do too much explaining  *wink*.  Basically I get four weeks of menus at the beginning of the month and grocery lists to go with them.  There are also instructions for assembling the meals.  Michelle, the creator, says that you can assemble all the meals in an hour or less.  I decided to try for myself.  Seriously, if I can invest one hour and have five healthy, yummy, and complete meals. . . sign. me. up.

Tuesday of this week I started at 4:17PM.  I pulled everything out just like she said and then started working my way down the assembly line.  How long did it take? 50 min. and that includes making an extra roast beef wrap because Marlice ate one AND stopping to clean and bandage a skinned knee for Bubba. Woo Hoo!! Check it out:
On the top shelf there's egg mixture ready for quiche.
The second shelf has sweet potatoes and ears of corn wrapped in tin foil and ready for the crock pot and grill, respectively.
The third shelf has the pie crust with meat and cheese, ready for quiche, sauce for a meatball dish, pork chops ready for the oven, and roast beef wraps for dinner that night.
And lastly, the fourth shelf holds marinating chicken breasts.
Isn't it beautiful??

Now that four of the five meals have been eaten, I can write and tell you that they were yummy! We have sat down to dinner four nights in a row and had vegetables/sides every night! If this continues to be this satisfying I might be the happiest woman in the Midwest.  AND if you are in town and want to pop over at dinner time. . . I'll have something ready! I'm giddy.

WOW, I may check this out! And I loved seeing your man at GA (for a very quick second - our kids were a crazy mess), but I can't tell you how much I would have loved to have seen you.
