Hat-Tip Hick-Nod

In Alabama one will be walking along in the neighborhood and a car truck might approach.  As it gets closer, one might realize they know the driver - although it doesn't really matter - and wave hello.  The man driving the truck will not wave back but will nod a hello - just a slight lowering of the head - a hick-nod.  Don't be shocked or offended that I wrote that.  I KNOW because I am from there.  I have given and received many a hick-nod.

Moving on. . .
I really like The Land of Nod. (the children's branch of Crate and Barrel).  Looking through their catalog is like looking through Pottery Barn Kids - sorta.  Thing is - I love it.

This month I was looking through the pages and saw this:

Anything jump off the page at you? Obviously I only scanned the part I wanted to keep - - the prints on the wall.  I think they are adorable.  LON is selling them for $89.00.  Each.

I've been at work and here is what I have come up with:
and

When all is said and done, I'll have my wall art for 1/8 the price and it will match my bathroom perfectly!! I am so excited.

So, hat-tip/hick-nod to Land of Nod (Ha! No pun intended) and I'll show you the results when I have them. . . some day soon .

Sooo cute! Just don't use them to "replace" the adorable matted pictures you did of the kids. MM

So cute! Can't wait to see them hanging in your bathroom. Way to see an idea and create your own for SO much less!

Love those signs! Odd question-how do you keep them from getting ruined w/all the wet and humidity of the bathroom?
Also loved the "hat tip" section. My mom's from Iowa and their acknowledgement goes like this: two fingers flick up from the steering wheel if you're a stranger, three for everyone else + the occasional nod. My dad and I have yet to figure out why some get the nod and some don't. Personal discretion?
