Someone's Special Day

It's my birthday.

I grew up being taught that you don't go around telling people it is your birthday. Thing is, Facebook has already let the entire world know so I figure I can write about it here *wink*.

I woke up and checked my email and WOW! People from all walks of life had "written on my wall"! No need for a Magic Eraser on these - what fun! Birthday wishes all over my wall. AND an email from Vocalpoint too.

Now the emali from Vocalpoint took an approach to birthday cheer that I have never experienced and I thought you might really get a kick out of it. Enjoy:
"If you're worried about getting older, consider this: It's said that every cell in your body is replaced approximately every 7 years. So the body you have at 35 is not the same one you had at 28, or at 21, 14, or 7. You are continuously physically remaking yourself. (No wonder you're so tired!) But through it all, you—your consciousness, your soul, whatever you want to call it—remain constant. All that flesh and bone is just a vehicle. This birthday, try connecting with who you are rather than what you are and see if it's not your best birthday yet. Here are some suggestions for doing just that."
They continue with suggestions that involve eating, shopping, and bathing - three things that would definitely connect with who I really am.

I really have nothing else to say right now. I only wanted to share the news that the body I have today is not the one I had at 21. (Just the thought every woman wants to wake up to on their birthday.)

I'm going to go shower - the folks at Vocalpoint seem to think that will make it all better.

Happy Birthday! (I'm not on FB except about once every two weeks, so I would be VERY BELATED if I waited until FB!) :)
I hope you had a wonderful day - shower and all! :)
