Now, mere moments later I was in the kitchen putting away dishes from the dishwasher and I suddenly felt eyes on my back. There stood Bubs watching me through a small crack in his door. This is the first time in four+ years that Bubs has done this (come out of his room after being put to bed - - not see me empty the dishwasher!). I went and put him back to bed IN HIS BED. His little lip started to quiver and he said, "Mom. I'm sad." I explained that he wasn't supposed to come out of his room at night and since he had done so, he would need to sleep in the bed tonight. I ended by saying, "Now I am going to pray with you before I leave."
I prayed and then asked Bubba to pray as well. He quickly said, "I'm not going to pray. I am sad." I explained that God wanted to hear about how Bubba was feeling. God is interested in Bub's every thought and feeling. Bubba took his thumb out of his mouth and said, "Dear Jesus, I am sad. Amen." And there you go. . .
KB was going through my make-up bag yesterday while I was putting my face on. I looked down and was greeted by this:
This is her yelling, "Cheeeeese" as I took the picture. Ham!
We are thankful for our bus drivers.
I have spoken before about our love for restaurant.com and that love continues. Last week I bought $80 + in gift certificates and, with a coupon code, paid only $10! Little and Bubba gave these to the bus drivers and aids yesterday and pronounced, "WE ARE THANKFUL FOR YOU." It was great to really get to verbalize my gratitude to these people who care for my children each day and get them to and from school safely.
