"Life is too complicated not to be orderly." -Martha Stewart

Last week's quote in my calendar. Nice.

What actually makes me able to stomach this quote instead of taking Tylenol PM and settling in for a long nap is this:

Order in my kitchen! One can see the counter tops at least six days a week now. How did this happen? I went to a workshop taught by my friend Julie. It was called something along the lines of "Organizing your Home - Life with Autism".

Julie has two sons on the spectrum and is a professional organizer. The best part of the seminar was the portion on how to deal with PAPER! I am sure the mother of all typical kids gets a lot of paper from school, but I gotta tell you I am overrun with paper. I have been hyperventilating about it since school began. "Where do I keep their IEPs" and "How do I keep track of assignments?" and "Where do I put the paperwork from therapist B?" Julie showed us her system and walked us through it and mine was in place within the week.

Lifesaver. This grand plan for order (maintained for over a month now) has eliminated just a bit of complication from my life.

I am soooo getting me one of those!!! I have major paper problems....and I think it is only going to get worse as the kids get older.

Sounds like a great seminar--I love order :). Glad the system is working well for you. I am curious about the "K"--is that a 12x12 photo page?
