Honey and I just returned from a weekend in Indianapolis and learning TONS about our daughter's brain. Little has Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum and we need every bit of information and help we can get. The NODCC has only been around several years, so we feel grateful to be a part of what is a developing understanding of a growing diagnosis.
There were three other families in attendance from our town. Natalie and I met last year in New Jersey and were shocked to discover we live 3 miles apart and our kids were in classrooms across the hall from each other. She has become a friend and, again, I am thankful for someone who can somewhat understand what goes on in our house on a day to day basis.
It was a great weekend for us individually and as a couple. We learned a lot about our Little and ourselves, had GREAT conversations, and even got to steal away to downtown Indy to celebrate Honey's birthday in an absolute dump recommended by a friend (?) at work.
A BIG/HUGE thanks to Memom and my sister for staying here with the kiddos. From the pictures it seems they had a lovely time too!
I do have a lovely photo of Honey and Myself but it is on NATALIE's camera and she hasn't emailed it yet (hint! hint!).
