Movie to Avoid

I went out tonight with my dear friend Jennifer. Her husband graduates in two weeks and they are moving to Mississippi pretty immediately. Instead of facing the sadness head on, an evening watching Jennifer Garner and Matthew M. seemed a better use of time and emotional energy. And ending the evening at the Cheesecake Factory couldn't hurt, right?

Well, we were SO WRONG! I am sad to say it, but I disliked this movie immensely! The movie is crass and repeatedly offensive. Matthew plays the same guy from his other films just crasser. Jennifer Garner plays the good girl, gets to cry a couple times (she is a GREAT crier), and basically does "13 Going on 30" part 2. Michael Douglas provides nothing but offensiveness.

And I didn't even get cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory.

So, I would suggest you choose another film if the theatre is calling to you. Actually, since it was opening night, we were asked to fill out review cards and I gave the film a "D" on the scale from A to F - so there you go.

Just rent "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" or "13 Going on 30" - you get to see these two thespians acting and don't have to shake your head!!!

It sounds unanimous! I had also planned on seeing this movie. Actually, I recieved your critique and one other that also nixed the idea of seeing Matt. Color me disappointed, but thankful to know beforehand. Thanks so much for the heads up, Becky, B

Thanks for the heads up!

Saw Wolverine over the weekend! FUN! Loved Liev Schriver(?) and of course, Hugh Jackmans's strangley-always-coiffed hair!

I give it 3 out of 4 X's (as in X-Men!)
