Everyone was sent to separate
"Little, why are you sitting on your bed?"
"I yelled at Bubba, mom."
"Anything else?"
She told me but I can't remember, for the life of me, what the sin was!
I asked Little what she needed to say to Bubba and she replied, "I need to say, 'I'm sorry, Bubba.'"
"That's right, Little. You sinned against Bubba and you need to ask forgiveness. Who else did you sin against, Little?"
Little looked at me, looked at her hands, and then looked back at me to say, "I sinned against God."
"Well, just like you can tell Bubba you are sorry, you can tell God how sorry you are too. Do you want to tell Him?"
Little clasped her hands together, bowed her head and said, "Dear Jesus. I am sorry I sinned to you. [at this point she started crying - hard - but managed to add. . . ] Please forgive me."
Isn't that beautiful???
She looked up and I got to tell her, through my own tears, that Jesus tells us in His word that "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and will forgive our sins." He loves her. Her sin against Bubba was paid for on the cross.
Little's eyes lit up. Seriously. She giggled. I felt like I had really witnessed a big deal.
What did she say next??
"I'll go tell Bubba I'm sorry. Then I'll have snack."
And there you go. . .

Beautiful! Not just the repentance but the acceptance of the forgiveness too. Thanks for being such a good example Little.
