It's like a heat wave

It has been in the upper eighties for the past three days. Now, I realize that folks around the planet experience temperatures hotter than that on a daily basis, but considering it was a (oh, Sue, what IS that wonderful word they use down under??) slightly chilly and windy first half of the week, these temps have been a shock. Add to this that the sun BEATS into our front windows for four straight hours in the afternoon and our house gets toasty.

I hear you - you are saying, "Stop your crying and turn the air conditioner on." That would be a lovely idea (especially since my eldest can't regulate her temperature) but our LANDLORD (you know, the one I've been talking flowers with . . . building a great relationship with . . . am ready to go toe to toe with) won't let us because he wants to check the unit first. He says he'll get to it when he can and, "It's still only April."

So, Little dealt with the heat on Saturday by wearing her bathing suit around all day long. (Don't you like her pose?) Bubba had sweat matted hair all afternoon and I took two showers - cold ones. I'm glad May is only four days away.

Is that word you were looking for "nippy"?

It's starting to get nippy here. I'm so excited!

Love you!
