Pride Comes Before a Fall

The sickness continues so we are having to cancel Little's party again. I can't help feeling like it is a lesson for me in the "counting your chickens before they hatch" category. I got all excited about the details and put too much significance in it all and then for two weeks we have had to punt it.

We are going to have the party one day - just not sure when. And I'll probably post pictures afterward but I am not going to tell anyone when it is coming. Maybe my heart will be in the right place and I can humbly help my daughter enjoy a celebration of turning five. That's what I am going to pray toward - a fun celebration for her and her friends. Not a show for her friends' parents.

How do I end up in these places?

I'm so sorry to hear you guys are all sick and that the party had to be cancelled again! We'll pray that you are all healthy soon. Sounds like a rough week at your house. The sippy cups look super cute, though!

I'm so sorry the party had to be cancelled again. How did Little handle it? I know that you will be so glad to finally get WELL! Sorry you guys have been sick :(. Did Honey ever get it? I will pray that when Little's birthday party finally arrives that you will be able to completely enjoy her celebration!

We had to cancel EC's 5th b-day party because of one of her vomiting episodes and since we had rented an inflatable and couldn't afford to do that again, it was permanently canceled. So I understand and am sorry.
