I have been makin a mental list of what my mom and I can attempt to accomplish during her next visit. Not sure what will take priority. . .
1. Organize/clean out kitchen
2. Sew quilt
3. Potty train someone
4. Switch out clothes bins for season change
5. Prepare quite a few freezer meals.
Too much?
What kinds of things would you have YOUR mom help with??

How long is she staying for? You will want to get some things done but still leave some time for visiting together.
I would wnat help with my kitchen cupboards, meals and preparing for our next baby. I still haven't made the curtain for the baby room. 1st baby is now five.
Hmm...That is a hard question. I usually find that I love for my mom to play with the kids so that I can attack a project. She is also excellent at cleaning, so I might put her to work on a task that I don't particularly enjoy. Maybe cleaning my shower--yuck--I hate doing that!
Those all sound like WONDERFUL ideas!!! Shoot for the moon! I have no doubt you all will be able to accomplish almost all of them....perhaps with the exception of potty training. In my experience (which IS limited!) I have found it to either be a 24 hour job or a 6 month endeavor. I'm hoping that Clip will be a 24 hour learner like his brother was. Sophie still has accidents and she's been pottytrained for over a year!
But back to your question....it's hard for me to say. When my Mom comes, all she wants to do is play with the kids and then leave. She just doesn't have the physical or emotional energy to help me accomplish any jobs like that, so I am super-jealous and I think I better not even try to answer your question so that I don't get even more jealous! ;)
But I can't WAIT to see all of the wonderful things that you and your Mom accomplish!

That's pretty much the list my mom does when she's here (good for you for organizing in advance!). Only one thing I add: mom keep kids so I can get a haircut! I hope you have a great time with her. Please tell her I said hello. :)-Leigh Ann C.
All those are good ideas. If my mom could sew (don't know if your mom does), I'd have her help me complete some projects in that arena, although techically she could do that from her home. I would also take the opportunity to have my mom watch the kids while I went to get a pedicure/massage/something equally luxurious!!
My mom (and maybe dad?) is actually coming next week! I'm planning on using her for childcare while I convert our office into an office/playroom. I have about five other things I'd like to get to, but I'm usually only able to tackle one big project during her stay...and that one is top priority.
Are you kidding? She'll have all that done by the end of day 2!
