It's a Jungle In There

A few weeks ago Honey took the morning off and we headed to Monkey Joe's. This in an indoor play place with those blow up things - it's loud. And crowded. And fun.

Everyone else had been before at Christmas time when Aunt Anna, Uncle Brice, and Cole were here. I was in the cigarette aisle basically killing people, smiling and saying "Thank you for shopping at Wal*Mart". Anyway, I digress - we went to Monkey Joe's and I was eager to see how the kids maneuvered their way in such unstable an environment. It was FABULOUS.

Bubba's short legs made the climbing all the more difficult and Little's lack of balance would have been comical if my heart hadn't hurt so much.  I knew it was time to go when the line behind Bubba got so long that kids started stepping on and over him to climb up the slide.  My "mamma bear" instincts were escalating and (thankfully) he got his footing just before I had to leap onto the contraption and kick some teeth out.

The kids never noticed a difference or problem.  They lasted about an hour and were ready to head out - exhausted. It was just enough and I can't wait to go back. (It IS a two parent job, though, for sure!)

we usually last an hour and then are so exhausted that at least one of them is in tears- i always prepare my friends for a major byrd meltdown if we go to one of those places!!

Elizabeth has been to a couple of parties there and loves it!! Do you have "Pump It Up" around you? Similar idea, but on a smaller, quieter scale :).
