Camp

Little has been attending camp all week. It's a camp supported by Variety - the Children's Charity. All the children attending have special needs of some sort. Little has her own "special friend" assigned to her to help throughout the day (she actually has four or five I have discovered; the little charmer) and she is having a BLAST. Every morning she wakes up saying, "I'm going to camp" and every afternoon she arrives home with drool down her face from sleeping all the way home. She is EXHAUSTED.

Day #1: Swimming (first experience on a slide into a pool); made an Olympic torch; petted farm animals (including a "canimel" according to Little - that's camel to you and me).

Day #2: Adapted ice skating (her favorite thing so far); more swimming; painting

Day #3: MORE swimming; sat in a police car and fire engine; made glasses out of pipe cleaners

I will have loads of pictures on Friday - they have someone taking pictures of each child for the parents (I can't wait). Tomorrow is rock wall climbing and, you guessed it, more swimming. Little loves swimming so this is such a treat.

Here are some photos. One is ready to go in the morning and the other two are in the afternoon when I picked her up. I'll let you guess which is which. (She tripped on the sidewalk - hence the scratch on the chin.)
