Bill and Gloria Gaither wrote and sang this great little song - - ages ago. I learned it for the first time when we sang it in our little church in Locust, NC, but last Christmas my precious big brother and his family gave it in book form to our Little. The book is beautiful and has the cd in the back so you can read the truths and then listen as well. Little has finally gotten to where she can sit through a book of this length, etc. and so tonight we read it.
"I can go anywhere that He wants me to go, I can be anything that He wants me to be I can climb the high mountain, I can cross the wide sea, I'm a great big promise, you see"
"I am a promise,
I am a possibility,
I am a promise with a capital "P"
I am a great big bundle of potentiality
And I am learning to hear God's voice, and I am trying to make the right choices
I'm a promise to be, anything God wants me to be."
It was one thing to read this to our special Little but then we put the cd in and danced as we sang. . . and my dear husband taught Little to do the can-can. Wish I had a video of it because it was priceless.
I just can't wait to see the "anything" He wants her to be!

I can never do one of these without a typo -
"He's got the greatest plans."

I know that song! Learned when I was little too. I sing it to Anna Caroline all the time, only I can't remember the tune to the verse! (Argh.)
